Why is the Polycom Soundpoint IP 560 phone able to be setup with RingCentral's SecureVoice call encryption? The older model of this phone (Polycom Soundpoint IP 550) is compatible and is essentially the exact same phone with the exception being the IP 560 has dual gigabit ethernet ports instead of the Soundpoint IP 550's dual 100 mbps ethernet ports.

I understand the phones that are currently supported (somewhat since RC's SecureVoice datasheet does not match what Kim listed http://netstorage.ringcentral.com/datasheets/secure_voice_datasheet.pdf), but this does not address my question of why it is not supported. Can this post just be moved to an enhancement request to have SecureVoice supported on the Polycom Soundpoint IP 560?

Secure Voice is only available on device which are at the right firmware level and sold directly by RingCentral.  The Polycom IP 560 is not sold by RingCentral.

I will also find out about the difference in the two lists.

It is disconcerting to get different answer from RC employees at this Community forum and RC tech support.

Direct from RC Tech support chat today...
"Richie: at 9:23:13
SecureVoice will work even on 3rd party phones wherein it is supported, as long as it is assisted provisioned using our system."

"Richie: at 9:36:57
The Polycom Soundpoint IP 550 is supported."

It is not helpful to offer insight from the customer base and have to figure out amongst various employees at RC what is correct and incorrect.
#1 you say the Polycom IP 550 is not supported (tech support says it is)
"Desk phones :
Polycom IP 321, 335
Polycom VVX 310, 410, and 500"

#2 you say "Secure Voice is only available on device which are at the right firmware level and sold directly by RingCentral" (tech support says "SecureVoice will work even on 3rd party phones wherein it is supported, as long as it is assisted provisioned using our system.")

Please get on the same page and add the Polycom  Soundpoint IP 560 to the list of supported SecureVoice phones as a feature request.
