We have a Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 at the reception desk. We like all calls to be picked up within 4 rings.

Would really like the ability to: press a couple buttons and temporarily send all calls coming into that phone to be forwarded to another extension, --often different extensions--, based on who is around. Then she gets back, presses a couple buttons and it returns to standard call routing.

Not really convenient to log in and create new routing rules each time the receptionist needs to visit the loo ;-)

Hello, there are ways to accomplish this. You could use the DND button when walking away,

Of course, it depends how you have your call flow setup.

This is totally possible but just needs to be configured.

Let me know if I could assist

Yes, setting the receptionist phone to Do Not Disturb and having other extensions answer is probably your best bet.
