I think it would be nice if RC would allow call park buttons to be programmed on the sets. This would allow you to park a call (with status lights) and then anyone who has the call park button/s on there phone can pick up the call by pressing the call park button. They can also put the call on hold by pressing the same button. This would emulate a square system. Depending on the size of the business you could have 1-6 buttons. Makes it much easier to transfer/answer calls and know who was put on hold.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Choose order of soft buttons.

We are a hospital - so not a bunch of folks sitting at same desk all day.  We move around from place to place and there are phones everywhere we go.  No home base for a person so our use cases are slightly different than what I think the standard office dweller might be.

Feature idea:  Allow us to choose which soft buttons, among all your supported soft buttons, to make visible on our equipment.  Users could just rank the order in which they want to use the buttons and the equipment will display whatever is prioritized by the user while everything else is behind the "more" buttons.

Use Case:  Currently a user will have to hit the "More" soft button to get to an often-used feature while skipping over soft buttons that we never use.

Benefits:  Easier training, less confusion, less wrong buttons pressed, better usage of needed features

Well said. This feature would be great. We have Polycom phones, and after looking through the manual I know it is possible. But its not easy to do for any user without coding skills and cannot be done if you are renting/leasing the phones (as we are).

Wish I had a manual for my VVX 250, I'd give it a try.
