Programming Ringcentral phones to buzz our Cyberdata Callbox with a single button

Hi all, we have the Polycom phones with the colorful LCD screens.

We purchased and installed the excellent callbox from Cyberdata. Currently, when a visitor presses the button on the callbox, a user inside answers the call, and the user dials the multi -digit code to buzz them in. This works but isn't ideal. Sometimes they press a wrong button or accidentally hang up, then have to go to the door.

It would be better if the user answers the call, then presses a dedicated single button on the phone to open the door. I asked a Ringcentral engineer, who are usually helpful, but he couldn't really think of how to do this. The button would either need to transmit the code upon being pressed during the call, or maybe the button would hang up the call, and then call the callbox, and then send the code. Then maybe hang up, not sure.

Has anyone done something like this? It's how the old analog system worked. There was a button on the AT&T phones that buzzed the door, then the call disconnected.

That is an easy one! Set the Relay Pulse code which is on the device tab, to any button on your phone (1-9, 0, # or *) then save and reboot your intercom.

Then whenever you are in a call simply press that button to activate the on-board relay to open your door.
