Puerto Rico Calling should be local and not international

Calls being placed to Puerto Rico 787 should be considered as a "local call or free" since it is a Territory of the United States along with the US Virgin Islands. This feature change will help me being able to market RingCentral as a competitor to line 2 and vonage. Your consideration of this feature change would be greatly appreciated.

We have recently started to market to Puerto Rico and it would be great to have PR as a local call. I mean, it is a part of the U.S..... It has an area code so there is no need for a country code.
C'mon Ring Central. Give your customers what they want!!!

Just to add another voice here...though really this should require no explanation.  PR is a US territory.  They use standard US numbers.  Calls there are treated as local by other phone companies.  'Nuff said.

Official Response
Hey Everyone, I wanted to let you all know that our Product Team provided me with an update about this :)

In our next release, for Q2, we will be updating our metering so that calls to Puerto Rico will be treated just like US numbers :)

As long as everything goes as planned, all accounts will receive this update by the end of Q2. You can ask your Account Manager when your account is scheduled for the 19.2 release.

Thanks for the update, Sadeet.  For those of us that purchased international phone credits, will there be any reimbursement or, at the very least, prioritization for the 19.2 release?  Will the international charge automatically be stopped?

Hi Alex, unfortunately I cannot speak about whether there will be reimbursements - you'll have to discuss this with your Account Manager.

As for international charges, it will automatically be stopped for calls to Puerto Rico :)
