Queue calls transferred are rejected if "Accept queue calls" is turned off

I've been informed that as of now, calls that come in via the queue cannot be "warm" transfered to an extension who has "Accept queue calls" turned off. While keeping to the setting, this doesn't follow human logic, as the call is a transfer. Our reps take the queue call and are attempting to transfer to a supervisor who does not want to take queue calls, and has been contacted by the rep and is waiting for the call, but those calls are being rejected by the system.
