What is the work around?  Great Headset (Razer) with active noise cancelling at the mic. But the Razer Synapse app appears to prevent RingCentral softphone from working.  RingCentral softphone works if Razer App is NOT installed.  Have configured "Sound" properly yet still no tones when choosing to dial out.  What is the work around

That's not a tested or supported headset so we can't give any in depth troubleshooting advice but there are a couple things to double check.

There are two places to check to make sure the softphone can recognize the headset.

1. Go to Settings in the Ring Central Desktop app, and click Sound.  You'll see drop-downs where you can select the Speaker and Ringer Device.

2. On the PC, go to Volume Control Options. ( you should be able to right click the speaker icon on the taskbar), and then see what the default device is.

Hopefully it's just a missed setting on one of these screens.

If anyone else has successfully used this headset please chime in.

I forgot to ask.. you said it rings... Is the ringing coming through the headset, or PC speakers?

In the configuration I use above, it rings through the PC speakers, but voice/conversation is through the headset.

Lightly through the laptop speaker.   Have played with the settings you describe above without success.  When I uninstall the razer app and reboot.  I can now use the headset with RingCentral as before but without the "features" of the Razer platform.

Ah... ok.. So it does sound like an incompatibility with the software. Sounds like the Razer software holds the device hostage.
