RC Meetings: Ability to Set Up Profile Picture in Lieu of Generic Icon

I just confirmed with a RC support rep that RC Meetings does not offer the option of uploading a profile. I work for a mid-size US company that does a lot of online meetings with outside clients. Typically, we use Meetings to carry-out such communication. Different users have noted that when they have their video off, a generic user icon appears in the middle of the screen. They have expressed interest having the feature to change that generic icon. Such a benefit would mean that during meetings, people could easily know who's talking. Would it be possible to have such an option available, moving forward? Thanks in advance.

Hi Rizza,

This feature request is under consideration by the product team, although we currently don't have an ETA. As a workaround currently, you can try pulling in the profile picture you have from Glip into Meetings. Heads up, it isn't always successful, but worth a try! To do so:

You need to use the RingCentral Mobile (formerly Glip) app and set to preferences to RingCentral Embedded under the meeting settings. Once you do this, you can start or join at least one meeting, and your picture should populate.

I added a vote for this. Jessica's feedback makes sense as some of our meeting participants show a photo if their video is turned off - which is nice - and most of the users have the generic name.  I have followed Jessica's instructions but it doesn't work for me.   With larger meetings we turn off video to improve performance so the picture would help further a sense of community with video off.
