Is there a way to direct the faxes to one extension at all times no matter what the settings are for office hours and phone calls? I want everyone to have access to the faxes all the time but I don't want the potential for duplicate files in charts once they've been uploaded to our record. This way when a fax is deleted it is consistent across all accounts because they are using the same extension for faxes. I do not want to have to tell everyone to add an extension to the fax number as its already on business cards etc. I do not want the faxes to follow the forwarding rules for the phones. Thanks.

Hi Scott, are you a Ring Central Office customer? If so your dedicated fax number could be routed to one extension and people could have access to it.

This is how I setup all of my customers.

Do you know how do direct the faxes to an extension?

Let me know

Thanks

No I don't know how to do that without affecting phone calls.

Scott, there is a dedicated fax number with an office account. This has nothing to do with the phones, or call flow.

Even though each line could accept faxes also, the main fax is what we could redirect to a main extension to accomplish your goal.

E-Mail me directly and we could do a team viewer session so I could explain and show you what I am talking about

Hi Scott - it's easy to configure a particular extension to receive all your account's incoming faxes - just go to Settings > Phone System > Company Numbers and Info and click Fax Number. You can choose from the extensions already on your account. (To add a new extension, click Phone System > Users and click Add User.)

Hi, I am having the same issue.  What's the difference between selecting "operator extension" vs "Specific extension"
Will all users be able to view faxes if it is sent to a "call queue?"  Or should the faxes be directed to one specific person?
If it is directed to one person, can the administrator still see the faxes?
