Can you record the auto attendant greeting and vmail greetings from a desk phone? Calling the cellphone is annoying and we do not have microphones on our computers.

where you plug in your cell number, just plug in your direct number instead and it will call the deskphone.

oK - I saw something about dialing *86 and was wondering if that worked as well...

*86 should work for personal greetings, but I think you need to use the click to call for auto attendant greetings.

2287 USA based users, 28 different sites,  3800 DID lines - all Polycom VVX500 phones

2018-10-10 Yes we routinely have site secretaries call their voice clip in to a dedicated phone line in our centralized IT Department and leave their IVR menu clip as a "Voicemail"

This is a dedicated line only used for clips and we know when a ticket comes through to check for the matching "clip" ---  Then our IT department just uploads the sound clip to the IVR prompt library on the webportal.
