I want to record meeting that I set up over ring central. I am the host and when I press record RingCentral pop up says "please ask the host for permission to record"? Can anyone help me fix this?

That message indicates you are not the host. Someone else would have set up the meeting.

Hi Mike I sent the meeting out through Outlook.. does that automatically make me the host?

If you personally created the meeting in your own outlook account (didn't forward someone else's invitation), and assuming you have the Outlook extension installed, then yes, it should make you the host.  If this was the case, and you didn't have access to record, can you please open a support case and include as many details as possible; date & time of event, user info, etc.

Mike, I found this Q/A in searching about the exact same thing.  I set up the meeting from my desktop and it gave me the same message ("please request recording permission from the host").  How do I go about opening a support case?  (The person in our organization that could generally guide me is on vacation.)
