Remove someone fromcompany team

We currently have a few team members with company email addresses who don't want to be a part of the Company-wide Team Conversation.

However, there is no way to remove them from the company team.

I would like to have the feature to remove individual members from that team.

I guess the only way I could think of is to create a team without them in it (although I dont know how many company members you have so that may not be possible) or I think they can mute a conversation and not get alerts or whatnot from the convo.

But that would negate the main purpose of the "company" team. It is meant to include anyone with the same email domain as that of the company (i.e., joe@mycompany.com).

1. Muting doesn't work. The RingCentral App still highlights when a message is received, the conversation still has numbers ticking up, etc. A more complete "ignore conversation" option where messages are received but absolutely no notifications are given would work.
2. I love that the purpose of the "company" team is for all team members to receive notifications. However, we have contractors who have been given company email addresses for the purpose of confidential conversations, scheduling, etc. But they are finding the Glip Team conversations to be distracting when all they want is notification of pertinent messages. So giving an admin the power to remove them from the "Company Team" would solve that issue.

ViaSport, you totally right about the muting. I spoke to support recently about this and there is no way to prevent the banner from ticking up when messages are sent on the company team which kind of defeats the idea of "mute".

There are also a couple things I think are important to add to this topic:
1. Since the company chat channel is specially set up, it should have the option to leave without disabling a user.
2. The default team owner for this channel is the first person to log into the company. This means that the account Admin may not have control over this account at all and change must be requested from RC Support. This definitely needs to be changed so that default is ONLY the admin(s) of the business accounts can be the team admin for the company channel.

This is a necessary feature - I'm an outside contractor administering the phone system. I have neither reason nor interest in being a member of the default Glip Team, and my onsite administrator is unable to remove me.
