Personal contacts. The soft app on iPhone is pulling my iPhone contacts not the ones I entered on desktop soft app.

Why aren't my pre-programmed desktop contacts syncing with my iPhone application? Meaning, all of the the contacts that I've programmed on my desktop app (ie: name, email and phone #'s) are not showing up with the person's name on my iPhone app? When they text me back, it's very frustrating, as the iPhone app just shows their phone#, rather than their name and contact info that I already pre-programmed on the desktop app?

Hi Steibe, if you add the contacts using the Web Portal, they should sync.

Just logged into my online portal and added a contact, and it's still not showing up in my contacts on my iPhone app - Please fix this, as this is a huge problem. Thx.

I should also mention that my online account shows that I have 20 personal contacts which were apparently transferred over from my desktop softphone app, yet they're not syncing with my iPhone app, which is odd. None of the 20 personal contacts are showing up in my iPhone app...

Changing topic to Idea: Feature Request.

Kristine:  in the meantime, here is how to turn them OFF from syncing with your iPhone contacts.  Got to Settings > RingCentral

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Sync contacts imported into Softphone from Outlook to the Online Personal Contact....

With Ringcentral Softphone for Windows you can import your contacts from Outlook to the softphone.  It would be really helpful if these contacts can then be automatically synced and uploaded to the Online Personal Contacts.

Currently, the only way to add your contacts to the Personal Contacts Online is to import them as a CSV file.
As well,  if you import the contacts into the Online Personal Contacts AND you import your Outlook contacts into the softphone, you end up having duplicate contacts in your Softphone as the Online Personal Contacts are downloaded into the Softphone.

Thanks

Sruli

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled contacts in my desktop app should appear in my smartphone app.

I don't want to have to reenter contacts from my RingCentral desktop into my contacts on my smart phone in order to see them there.

It confusing that so much is the same between desktop and mobile apps, EXCEPT favorites.  We'd very much like to see this feature!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled "Personal Contacts" on Desktop App not syncing to Mobile App.

"Personal Contacts" were manually added to Desktop App and appear in ringcentral.com account but are not syncing to Mobile App.  Is this not a supported feature of the iPhone app?

I have a US professional account.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Master Contact List.

I would like to be able to have the ability to enter all of my contacts into one place (the desktop)and have them available on all of my devices (office@hand desk phones, and mobile app users).  Currently you have to program each phone separately. Can this be made available?

Syncing contacts between iPhone app and desktop app seems like it should be a basic feature.  This feature would help greatly.

contacts that was previously available on my old softphone is no longer available on the new ringcentral for windows app. synchronize your contacts to outlook to Ringcentral for Windows app.

I've been having issues with syncing Desktop app with iPhone app and was shocked to find out direct syncing is not available.  But I did learn that by turning on the "sync contacts with google" setting on the desktop app PLUS allowing you iPhone app to "access contacts" does just what I need.  I enter a new contact I make into my google contacts (once) and it pushes it to both apps.  I'm not sure how this works with the online portal since I only use the desktop app and iPhone app.  This solves my issues and hopefully will solve yours as well.

I just upgraded today from an iphone 5 to an iphone 8plus and I am having the same problem. Now all of my contacts on the mobile app have no name attached to the number, they did previously with the iphone 5. I guess the technology got too advanced now for them.

Can you try to uninstall and reinstall the app and let us know what happens?
