Q: We currently have Dropbox integration with our FaxOut.  Is this going to change how FaxOut works?

A: No. These are two separate integrations that can co-exist.

RingCentral for Dropbox is our new addition to RingCentral Office plans (only). Customers can connect their RingCentral service with a Dropbox account that all historical messages and recordings are archived automatically and periodically in Dropbox storage.

RingCentral FaxOut integration with Dropbox is available for ALL RingCentral plans (Office, Professional and Fax) that allow customers to fax any file stored in their Dropbox accounts.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled DropBox: Transfer Call Recordings to Drop Box Automaticly.

1) My company has a US Ring-Central Account. Highest Package
2) Our Business is in the financial Industry. We are Commodity Brokers. We use our phones to take orders from clients all over the world. We provide execution services for all world commodity futures and options.
3) We have been customers and adding lines for a couple of years now. The main reason we are using Ring Central is that it records our phone conversations. Due to the nature of our business by law we must have our phone lines recorded and the recording archived for two years.
We know many people in our industry that use your service and have the same request!!
It would be a great feature to have our call recordings to be automatically archived into a cloud/Dropbox account. It is not good that we have to manually save them every 60 days and them transfer them to our Drop Box. If this process could be automated by Ring Central it would help us tremendously.
4) If the regulators request to see our records/call recordings for a certain time and date; We would log into Drop Box and the recording will all be there for them to see.
5) The benefit would be not having to manually download the recordings. Also sometimes we forget and loss recordings. It will benefit us to be in compliance with US regulators.
6) I have a case # 04655502
I have asked in the past many times for this feature with no success. I never asked in the Support Community so I hope this will prioritize it. Thank you and I hope you consider this feature.
Best regards,

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Call Recordings: Download Options.

It would be really nice if the Download Recordings feature was FTP based, or allowed a greater threshold value. Since we must keep all of our recorded calls this can be a time consuming and cumbersome process to do in stages versus a complete day, week, or month.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Call Recordings: Store calls longer than 3 months.

Those of us using call recording features sometimes need them saved longer than 3 months.  Downloading the calls daily is cumbersome to say the least.  I think you should offer the option to purchase additional cloud storage so these recordings can be saved for up to a year.  This would still allow users to use your interface which works wonderfully, and not have to download and manage their own recordings.

We are working on this issue and hopefully will resolve soon.  Unfortunately I can not recreate the issue myself. Meanwhile it will be great help if someone who are having this issue can type steps to recreate the issue

Jitender,

There are no different steps. I have a Dropbox account with 1TB of space...not a free account. I enter https://www.ringcentralarchive.com/#/signin into a browser (I tried in both Firefox 47.0.1 and Chrome 51.0.2704.103 m) and it asks me to log into my RingCentral account. I do that with no issues and it brings me to the General Information tab, where it asks me to connect to Dropbox.

When I click on Connect, I get a separate popup windows (as shown above in this thread).

Two small steps...
1. Log into RingCentral account from https://www.ringcentralarchive.com/#/signin
2. Click on Connect from the General Information tab.

Not working...

Yes we will sooner or later.  We will try to cover the most popular ones.  We will push ones that support FTP for later (i.e. Amazon S3)

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Company call log.

We are a staffing company in the US.  We are planning to begin recording calls for quality & training purposes.  I would like to be able to give certain managers a user role access to the company call log WITHOUT edit/delete access.  I don't want someone to accidentally or even on purpose deleting a call.  Right now when you check the box for access to the company call log it automatically checks the edit box and grays it out so it can't be unchecked.

@Smekofske You can have the call log emailed to you or a user daily, weekly, monthly as a csv. Both the detailed view or simple view. That in combination with dropbox or zapier pushing all recorded calls to Google Drive or Amazon s3, etc should give them what you need.

Ok, is it just me or does it take forever for it to archive recorded calls to Dropbox?  I've been testing this today and at one point I had 1 call recorded and it took 14 minutes (elapsed time on job start to job end) to save it to Dropbox.  Now there were a few calls this afternoon and the 3pm archive still isn't finished and it's 5:19pm.  There were only 4-5 calls recorded, I can't imagine when there are 100+ in an hour.  Am I missing something?  Also, one of the archives failed and it doesn't seem to go back to that hour's calls and archive them later.  I'm not sure why it failed.  The only thing I can figure out is I was logged into RingCentral at the time the backup started and it seemed to finish/fail when I logged out.  Could be coincidence too.

With the Enable backup toggle turned ON, archive tasks run on an hourly basis. So, it will just depend on when you check.  I'm sure if there are  lots of calls per hour it will take a bit of time for all of them to sync.

I'll try to find out about the failed ones. Stay tuned!

Thanks Mike,  I just logged in this morning and the hour in question above failed as well but everything after that worked fine.  Time start to end was 15:01 to 17:46 and no archive, so the test calls I made didn't archive.  :(  Then there's a gap in the archive.  The failed archive was the period 15:00 to 16:00 then the next is 19:00 to 20:00, so it missed 3 hours of calls, then ok every hour after that.  So far this Dropbox doesn't seem to be working...  I was also  trying to confirm that since I'm super admin that it's archiving all company calls, not just mine.

Hello Frasca,
It appears to me that you are not aware of RingCentral Archiver App, please check messages above for setting up the archive.  To answer your question, it is not possible to download everything for a day at once but Archiver will automatically pull it for you so you don't have to do it one by one

Is it possible to download Call Recordings beyond 90 days ago?  We are hoping to find calls as far back as 200 days.

I have the recording_URI, such as https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/11111111111/recording/646156904007
from the call logs extracted, but when I try to call the Call Recording Content API, I get a not found error.
