RingCentral Meetings - default video setting

When creating a scheduled meeting in RC Meetings app, the default video setting is ON for both host and participant. Having video auto-launch is typically not a desired behavior and can create a privacy issue for unexpected participants.  The default behavior should be set to off or it should be controllable by the administrator for the company.  This is a serious privacy problem for us and our clients we interface with using the RC meetings app.

Hello Marek,

You can change your settings to have no video when starting your meeting. Go into your settings and select video, there is an option 'always turn off video when starting a meeting'. AND when you schedule a meeting, you can set video for host and participant to 'No'. Let me know if you have any questions.

This has to be done for each client the first time. There should be a way to set company preferences to the defaults like with the RingCentral app.

Absolutely right, Marek. This has caused embarrassment at my company. Having video on by default is not standard behavior for online meetings, so turning it on by default is a design mistake.
