We're experiencing that about 50% of the voicemails we get on RingCentral are "empty" or silent. They run up to 3 minutes long of -- nothing. Of course we expect customers to hang up, that's part of business, but what we don't expect is that we are still sent these silent voicemails by RC. It's starting to consume many minutes of the day to listen to these non-vms. When the VM recordings are long, we have to listen to the whole silent message to confirm someone didn't leave an actual message ... really frustrating. I understand from contacting support that RC doesn't scan voicemails for privacy reasons BUT I think it's stupid that the system doesn't sort out silent recordings and dispose of them. Silence after all has a pretty unique waveform -- nada. Unfortunately if this problem isn't fixed we may have to move to a different system.
