RingCentral/Salesforce can you log a call from an existing task or future call task?

Our company typically operates by Opportunity (object) vs Account. We are creating tasks for users to follow up with customers by calling 30 days after a quote is sent. In an effort to streamline the process we are trying to figure out if users can log a call directly through the scheduled task. Or would they have to log a call from the Opportunity separately and then mark the matching task as complete?

Hey Christy. Thanks for your post.

I am afraid that user needs to log the call from the Opportunity and then mark that task as complete. There aren't options for logging a call to an existing task at the moment. But I think this is a good product idea. I will bring this to our Product Team for further evaluation.

Is this in development as we need the call to be logged with in the taskĀ  such as Call client and the call logged with in that task rather creating a new call or task
