I'd like to be able to schedule SMS/text messages in the future.  Is there a way to do this in RC Desktop or via Office 365 or Google or a smartphone?

We have a United State business account for our online K-12 virtual school. We are looking for the capability to schedule SMS messages to be sent out before live lessons, testing, and other pre-set dates determined by our teachers.

I'm not sure if there is a way to do it through Ring Central, but there are many web apps that will let you do this. The one that comes to mind for Android phones is called Schedule SMS from the google play store. It's a pretty mature product with a few thousand reviews. Might not be ideal if you want to SMS 100 people though.

There are many services that will let you schedule and manage 1000's of texts per day, but they tend to be pricey. Some have a volume based monthly fee, some charge by the text. Check out Mozeo, and Simplified Alerts.

How many texts do you need to send in a month?

I agree that scheduling text messages would be an extremely useful feature.  This is available in  other platforms, including Google Voice and Send Hub.

You could set an "recurring appointment" in Outlook with "reminder" set for 8:00 (or whatever time) and set the recipient to the SMS Gateway for the cell carrier.  This will send an email reminder to the SMS gateway which will translate that to an SMS Text Message. (the recipient will contain the persons cell number)

Here is an old article that contains the SMS gateways for major carriers.. this is an "old" article, so some of the gateways may have changed.  You can Google your specific carrier such as; "Verizon SMS gateway" to get the most current address.

I'm trying to find a way to do this with RC, too! But looks like I will end up using Twilio. Low cost and easily programmable.

Looks like Zapier might be a way around setting up direct webhooks to RC.

It would be great to be able to schedule a text at a later date, for instance a reminder for a customer appoint to be sent the day before.

Not having this ability to Schedule an SMS is almost a deal breaker... We're about ready to cancel our RingCentral account because this feature is missing, as well as the 50 texts a minute restriction.  I really want to make this work because everything else with RC is great, but I'm being forced to write my own custom application to make this happen, which I shouldn't have to do, or switch services. In doing a lot of research, I did find TextUs with RingCentral integration that has the feature, but at $500 a month, it made us choke!  It's cheaper to custom develop our own solution to do the same thing, but seriously guys, why should we have to when it should be integrated?Another alternative is using Zapier Scheduler to RingCentral SMS, but it's a messy workaround for our dispatch guys to have to use that.
The other alternative we're looking into is Twilio with for only $10/month, but I'm trying to make canceling our RingCentral account the last option because I like the company.  If you guys were wise, you should integrate those missing features found on Twilext or TextUs into your front-end for free (or $10/month add-on).. I know you have the developers for it, and you'll get (and keep) more customers with that simple capability..

As a new business account customer of RingCentral, we have been surprised to see a simple implementation of scheduled text messages to have yet to be integrated into the product. From a recruiters perspective, scheduling text messages allows us to remind candidates of upcoming interviews and meetings. It also allows us effectively communicate via text when dealing with large time-zone differences.

It looks as though this suggestion was posted 2 years ago. The fact that RingCentral hasn't even responded to the feasibility of this suggestion is probably the biggest let down of them all.

US Account - Is there a way using Ring Central to schedule text messages to send at a future date and time?  We would like to schedule text messages to go out over the weekend when we're not in the office.

Thank you!

Develop a section on the app for text templates so we can quickly click and have the template generated and edit accordingly. Also a way to schedule texts automatically for a group of patients.

Add a feature that would allow for delayed sending of text messages.  Need to send a reminder, but you want it to be later in the day, draft it, and then have it automatically sent at a certain time.

PLEASE improve the app and allow users to be able to schedule a later time for a sms to be sent out. Google Voice has had this ability for years. It would save so much time and frustration for users.  Everyone I have spoken with is begging for this universal feature!  Thank you!

It would be really helpful if we are able to schedule sending of SMS messages. I am part of a mortgage company and this feature would be very useful as we can then schedule messages to be sent to our customers

Please add this feature.  Sometimes I am working very late and do not want to text at that hour.

Why not a scheduled, SMS on the app, the app works to set up different scedules SMS and get them out of the way would absolutely FREE YOU UP, come on get with it, RC if you don't do it someone else will. and please include a way to copy paste a string of phone numbers from a spread sheet, inputting one at a time and adding a comma is archaic.
