We are a small US company with geographically dispersed employees. We use the softphone app only. I have just enabled Call Monitoring via my admin panel. It would be very convenient if I had a dashboard which informed me of whom was actually on the phone so i could properly monitor and coach. Please let me know where to find such an application/dashboard.
It sounds like we are setup similar to you. Our receptionists have been utilizing the HUD feature in the desktop app that Mike mentioned above. You can even "undock" the HUD from the desktop app so that you are still able to monitor all of the extensions and then utilize the remainder of the desktop app features without leaving the HUD screen. To "undock" the HUD, click the monitor/HUD button in the top blue portion of the app, then over on the right of the HUD screen you'll see a square with an arrow pointing out of it... this is the "undock" button.
We see this using Heads Up Display - it can only display 100 users at once though presently. RingCentral engineering has told me they are trying to increase this capability. We have 2000+ users so in order to do it - right now for different sites, I have to use a different instance of HeadsUpDisplay for each site. This is a major pain - but since I need to see their status when issues arise, this is our workaround
