Call queue: Interrupt message

My phone system is used in a dental office.  We have all the phones set to ring simultaneously.  Sometimes the front desk staff is busy either on another line or with a patient taking payments or other paperwork.

Is there a way that if a call comes in while the front desk staff is busy that a button can be pressed to send that call to a call queue notifying the person that we will be with them shortly?  This option would only be used occasionally and we'd still like to have all of our phones ring simultaneously.

My thinking is that if people call in and the phone is not answered, many times they will not leave a message when the voicemail picks up the call.  If the person knew that they were in line to have their call answered they may be more likely to stay on the line.  Is this possible at all?

Thanks in advance!

There's a call queue option to use "interrupt audio".  under Call Handling.

Hi Barry,   Dustin's suggestion above is probably the easiest way to handle this.  There's not a feature that will do exaclty as you described above. Otherwise there are several other things you could do with setting up Groups, or Shared lines, or even just setting the call handling rules so that there's a delay before it starts ringing the other lines.
