Separate Call Volume Control Needed

Account: U.S., Sales/customer service office. I'm on a computer using Windows 10 Pro using the RingCental Desktop app.  There needs to be a separate volume switch just for the RingCentral Phone's call volume.  I have the app's headset volume on high but I keep my computer's volume low and I can barely hear the caller sometimes. If I turn up the computer's volume to better hear the call, any sounds my computer's system makes, including ones that come from the RingCentral App such as receiving a text, will be loud and uncomfortable.  Prolonged exposure to these loud sounds will eventually result in hearing loss.  I have permanent hearing loss from a very similar situation at a previous job, so I have to keep my volume low and am constantly annoying my callers by having to ask them to repeat themselves. I won't risk losing any more of my hearing, so having a way to increase the volume of the calls themselves independent of the computer's system sounds and the sounds coming from the RingCental app will be very helpful.

If you right click on the speaker icon in the Windows taskbar, and then choose 'open volume mixer', you will see individual sliders for all the currently connected devices/sources. You can turn the first one - the master volume - up most of the way and then lower the system sounds and any others down to a comfortable level. You should see the RingCentral source slider as well, and you need to move that to the position that is right for you. Note that all the other source controls are subordinate to the master and cannot be moved higher than it is - hence moving the master as high as you need it (even to 100% if necessary). Hope that helps.

This is a huge help, thank you so much. I didn't even know windows had that feature.  And I also found that you can disable the fax and text notification sounds in the RingCentral desktop app in the Messaging tab of the Systems panel.  I didn't see it under the Sound tab so I didn't think that could be modified.  A volume control for that so you could play the text alerts at a reduced volume would be a bonus but as long as it can be disabled I'm happy. Thank you very much.
