Show forwarded faxes internally

A customer of mine has a receptionist who handles their main incoming faxes, she then doles out the faxes to certain people. When she forwards them internally through the web portal, they do not show in her sent folder because according to RingCentral support because its not a sent message its only forwarded to someone. Being able to tell when a fax is sent because whether its forwarded or originates at her extension would be great, something as simple as an arrow next to the message in the inbox would even be sufficient, just like in your personal email.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Track fax that has been forwarded to an email..

It would be nice to be able track if a fax, that has been forwarded to an email address has indeed been sent to the addressee.   I was on the phone with service and they verified there is no place in the system that shows this.

The 24 page fax came to my inbox.   It needed to be forwarded to a different fax number.  Talking to the call center (who were very polite) I was instructed to use the forward option from the "message" page.  The forward only allows to forward to an email.   Because this is a fax service my contacts are fax numbers only.  After finding the email address to the business that normally would receive this as a fax, I populated the email address, made a subject and message in the body and pushed "forward".   The box went away, but there is nowhere an indicator that the email was actually sent.  It was not in the sent box.    My account is US.

I, too, agree with Chris Duquette, that there should be some way that Ring Central can indicate to the sender when a fax has been forwarded to someone via email. That way, the sender doesn't have to track down the person to verify that they received it on their end.
