It takes too many button clicks and UI interactions  to join a phone meeting on the iphone - Especially while driving and trying to join a phone meeting this is not safe by any means. We are using google calendar and you have to execute the following 12 steps in order to dial into the conference call:

1) Click on native calendar app
2) Scroll and find the meeting
3) Click on the meeting
4) Scroll to the notes
5) Click on "Show All Notes"
6) Scroll though the "nasty" raw html (all meetings scheduled through Outlook appear in raw html - this is clearly a bug) to find the url to the meeting - there are quite a few links but only one with the meeting id
7) Click on the url
8) The url opens in Safari thus Safari asks to "Cancel" or "Open" in Meetings
9) Click on Open
10) Click on Dial-in (out of 4 other options e.g. Call using internet Audio, Dial-in, Call-My Phone and Cancel)
11) Click on the Phone symbol on the next screen
12) Click on Dial

As you can see it takes 12 UI interactions to dial into a conference call. While driving this takes serious attention - especially if you need your reading glasses to see the details. btw/ meeting scheduled though Google-Calendar or outlook don't appear under "Upcoming Meetings" in the meetings app - that's of cause another problem - so I don't have a choice on following the above 12 steps. Why can't the dial-in link be directly in the Calendar Notes? Or why are meetings scheduled though outlook/google mail are not visible in the Meetings App? The the App should have a "driving" mode where all buttons are large and UI interactions are reduced to a minimum - And yes, some people are far sighted and need reading glasses - so the bigger the UI elements the safer it is.
