My first test faxes did not go through and does not show up in my RC outbox or Sent Items. I am sending via email but using my custom app that uses authSMTP relay via Port 23 to send emails.

Hi Gez,

You may need to tell us more about your integration. Is this something you built yourself, or some existing RingCentral integration? 

In either case there might be a few things to look at. 

1. If you are using the Email to Fax service, you do have to enter the "trusted email address" in our system.  The following KB article explains how to set his up.

2. You stated you are sending via SMTP port 23.  I'm not sure exactly how you are doing this or what sort of email client you are using ,but most SMTP emails use port 25, or 587.  Might that be the issue?
