My company currently maintains a Company Contact List using Microsoft Excel of which after a hundred and sixty users or so, is increasingly becoming more difficult to manage.

My question is, why isn't there a feature within the reporting section of the Ring Central Admin Console to allow me to auto generate a company contact list?

I would have thought that this would be apart of the basic reporting feature set or at the very least, have the ability to export the list of RingCentral accounts as a CSV file.

Do you know if there is any plans to possibly introduce this in your next update to the Admin Console? It would be fantastic if such a feature was possible.

Do you have your contacts in Outlook, or can you import them from Excel into Outlook? You can then import from Outlook if that helps.

Mike,

Thanks for your prompt response but the thing is, I'm not looking for microsoft outlook to provide the functionality. I was hoping that RingCentral would have that option as a part of the basic reporting feature set.

I'm sure that in a small voip workgroup setting, something like this probably wouldn't be required but once a small company scales up past twenty five users, an Admin would probably see this as being sorely needed.

Of which I suppose I should ask next, at what point does it not make sense to have RingCentral as a VoIP provider?  Is your service primarily targeted for small offices of which it doesn't scale up to meet enterprise requirements?

Because if it should be the case that your service is limited to workgroup offices then we should probably look at another solution that meets the requirements.

Hi Juan,  I understand that every company has specific needs.  If the current system does not provide the desired reporting functions, you are welcome to post another thread as an "Idea" topic so that it gets reviewed and considered by our product team.

As for our services working for small businesses vs large/enterprise size organizations, it really depends on every companies specific needs.  We are constantly working on improving our  products in an effort to meet the needs of as many people as possible.  For a long time Microsoft Outlook has been the preferred email client for most large organizations, so it does make sense to have the ability to import from Outlook.  As I'm sure you are aware Google's Gmail service is rapidly becoming popular with enterprise size businesses and just yesterday we released an extension for Chrome that interfaces with Gmail and provides other special functionality with other Google services.

I can't promise that any specific features will be released at any specific time, but our product team is very busy and they do review all the Idea topics posted to the Community and are working hard to implement the most popular requests.
