I hadn't opened or used the app in quite a while on my home PC.  When I did this morning, it wanted me to update.  Once I updated, I continuously get the message "Softphone has stopped working" over and over.  I came here for a solution.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and it keeps doing it.

Could you provide a screen shot of the error message?

Hey Joseph,

For this instance you will need to open up a case with us so we can troubleshoot. In your case please include the contents of that Crash Report by copying and pasting it. We're going to need to gather the debug logs as well. I linked you to the instructions if you feel comfortable doing it. If not, no worries! Your support agent can gather the information :)

I recently reimaged one of our employees computers with a fresh install of Windows and got this exact same error when trying to launch Ring Central when I reinstalled it.  I even uninstalled the latest version and installed an older one but got the same error.

i also ran the update, and now am receiving the same error.  i'm not paying you folks $85 a year so i can help you debug your software.  I just endured 8 failed faxes from the same source, but it was working fine a few months ago.

I'll verify the svc by faxing myself something from my office. If that fails, i'll be cancelling my subscription.

Rick, It sounds like your issue might be a bit different than the others on this thread.  If the soft-phone stops working,it won't prevent you from receiving faxes.  You can still retrieved received faxes from the mobile app or by logging into the web portal.

We'll be happy to help troubleshoot but do have to have some info to work with, so please use the buttons Saadet posted above and open a support case.

Mike
