Desktop App: Feedback for Legacy Softphone upgrade to RingCentral for Desktop

We are a longtime customer of RingCentral and use it only for faxes.  We were recently forced to upgrade to the Windows version of the app since the old softphone was dropped.  Why does an upgrade remove previous functionality?  We will likely be looking for a new provider - specifically the two issues below should have been kept:

1)Saving a fax should keep the sender's phone number

2)Installing to multiple PCs should allow syncing - we have multiple employees checking the fax queue and this version does not sync so if I delete from PC 1 it stills shows on PC 2 - we also don't want to have to log into the web each time from each pc to get a fax instead of using the app

We appreciate your feedback regarding the RingCentral for Desktop upgrade.  While are Product Team has been working hard to add more and more features, we do realize that it still lacks some features of the old Legacy softphone.   General complaints and comments are welcome (as long as they are professional), but the best way to get features implemented in the thew RingCentral for Desktop app, is to comment on those existing threads or create a new Idea topic if one does not exist.

For specific Idea or Feature requests please use the procedure on this page. How do I submit a request for a new Idea or Feature?

Also, please note that if you are using Windows 10, the Desktop App is still in BETA for Windows 10

Attention: For troubleshooting please complete the following steps
  1. Please uninstall the old version off of your computer as it may cause some issues.  (The Legacy will be Labeled: "RingCentral: Softphone" or just "softphone").
  2. Logout & Close the new one ... also close it from running in the background.
  3.
  4. Deauthorize the PC (see image at the bottom)
  5. Go to Computer Local Disk (C:) > Users > pick user > If you don't see "App Data" at the top above Contacts just click on the bar above and enter in /appdata (then hit enter) > Local RingCentral > right click on the Softphone and Delete
