You really need to add keyboard shortcuts for the SoftPhone.

  1. Quick access to the contact list, or via keyboard shortcut.
  2. Ability to search for contact by typing names without opening the contacts list.
  3. APIs for SoftPhone for 3rd Party integration. Would be fantastic if we could dial via Contacts, CoBook, QuickSilver, Alfred, etc.
  4. Click to dial via browsers, links in 3rd party apps, etc.

For dialing off Mac, you can use Telify or Dialectic.  If you do Dialectic, configure the dialing method as an AppleScript for RingCentral Softphone; the support page has that AppleScript to download. I have not been able to get the URL or Softphone Methods to work.

Hey support!  Is the API for URL workiing correctly?

Bring back Mac Contact integration so I know who's calling me in the new beta version, as well. :)

I have called about 8 month ago and put a request for dial from IMac apps feature and they told me that their engineers are working on it.

The same answers I got today.

The Blink soft phone has this feature, it is only couple of lines which I had to add in to the system file and it works great.

I am wondering why RichCentral Engineering team cannot do the same, which will take only few minutes to write a code for and alienating bunch of customers who are using Mac computers.

Don't they know that most of the soft phones on the market promoting some VOIP provider to their customers and drawing customers away from RingCentral?
