Desktop App: Split/Join Button for Attended Transfers

Hi Product Dev Team,

We currently are trialing switching from physical desk phones to RingCentral Desktop with Plantronics Headsets (thanks for that wonderful update!!!) and have found one feature lacking and that's the inability to do an Attended Transfer.

As opposed to a warm transfer, we actually call the person they are trying to reach to ensure they can take the call and then conference in both the caller and the person they are trying to reach so we can do a live introduction.  Previously, once they were both talking together we would just press the "join" button on our deskphone and that would allow us to hang up, but leave them in a call together.  With RingCentral Desktop there is no feature that would allow us to do this.

As doing an attended transfer is critically important for us to be able to provide the level of customer service our clients deserve and require, I'm hoping you can consider bringing this feature to RingCentral Desktop as well.

Have you tried using HUD.  I know it offers a Warm Transfer and Blind Transfer option.  That may be more useful in general for front desk/receptionist.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately the HUD only gives you warm and blind transfer options you mentioned.  What I'm looking for is the ability to conference in another line (3-way call) and then once the other parties start talking to each other allow me to hang up while still leaving them on the line together.

This is usually done using a 'join' button on a physical desk phone; such a button currently does not exist in RingCentral Desktop however.

Agreed, however you can "add" to a conference. But the problem with that is that it can't be "split". The physical phone has this option and I use it all the time, but the softphone does not and I really need it (along with my coworkers).
