Start button ghosted

Start Button is ghosted when time to start the meeting I initiated. (No previous meetings going) ALSO: I started a meeting, dialed in with ID and was told the meeting had not started. When I examined the upcoming meetings menu, the start button was ghosted. I hung up. Then, a few minutes later, I noticed that the start button was NOT ghosted. ???? This is maddening. What am I missing here? I have had others waiting to join meeting and I could not start it because the start button was ghosted.

We'll need some more details to troubleshoot, but it sounds like there might be a couple things going on.
1.  Are you talking about an RC Meeting (video conference), or just a regular conference call? 
2. When you create the meeting...there's a option that you can turn on/off to allow attendees to join before the host. This way if you log in late they can still get in.

That check box was checked. Why can I start a meeting but when I call in, it says the meeting has not started? Or, why can I call in, it says wait for start, then when I go to my scheduled meetings, the start button is ghosted?
THIS MORNING...I tried starting and calling in and EVERYTHING WORKED!
I will try some more today but this has been wildly inconsistent.

OK.. if it happens again. Please take a screenshot and not the date, time, what user you were logged under etc.

Randy, we'll need you to provide some specifics. This an RC Meeting? Not a regular conference call right. 
How exactly are you setting up or scheduling the meeting, and, how are you joining? What number are you dialing to get in?  Are you actually referring to the "Join" button  Can you please include specifics and screenshots?

Are you by any chance referring to RingCentral Rooms?  Can you send us a screenshot of the ghosted button?
