Suggestions for a single line desk phone that works well with Plantronics lifter?

Hi,

I have 2 Plantronics CS540 headsets with HL10 Lifters. I have been using them with a couple of cheap Panasonic single line desk phones, but the design of the phone does not work well with the lifters. It always picks up the handset properly, but sometimes does not place it back in it's place when you hang up the call. This is due to the design of the phone, the recessed part of the base station where the microphone part of the handset sits is not recessed enough to hold that end of the handset in place while the top end is picked up by the lifter. I tried some peel and stick rubber stuff and that helped, but it is still not reliable enough so I am looking for some new phones. Does anyone have a suggestion for a basic single line desk phone that will work well with a lifter, or that will allow a headset to be used to pick up and hang up a call without requiring the lifter? '

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

We have Plantronics W740 headsets with Polycom VVX411 phones. We order an APP-51 EHS cable, which eliminates the need for the lifter. Just push the button on your headset to answer and hang up - never touch the handset! Not sure if that accessory works on the CS540 headsets, but it's a start.
