We have the Polycom VVX500 phones with the optional cameras installed.  Although the cameras are activated and the video is visible on its respective display, when calling other like phones in the office, video of the caller and callee does not display and a video icon appears with a cross on top of it.

Hi Paul,  This is not a supported feature so I've changed this to a feature request.

Anyone who would like to see this functionality please comment and vote.

Especially helpful if they would also support the new CyberData video door intercoms.
This would be a great feature to add to the platform. With SIP telephony growing at an ever increasing rate and the ever descending price of IP phones capable of supporting video calls, there is a need to support direct video calls. We have recently released a line of video intercoms that support the H264 codec and our customers would love to continue to use Ringcentral  for their VoIP needs.

8x8 already does this and so does Cisco Spark. Give us some nice Yealink video phones for one touch video calls!

06-22-2017 POSSIBLE WORKAROUND::: We are testing using RingCentral Meetings as our internal video support vehicle, becuase we have 2000+ Users on the RingCentral account. This would offer anyone with a RingCentral  account that has Meetings attached, the ability to do screen sharing both local and remote video if the remote user grants session access to control their screen, etc. as part of a Meeting instead of doing it on the phone hardware.

You can use the CyberSoftphone (found here )on your PC to receive calls from the CyberData Video Intercoms or you can set it up at a point to point device

I'd definitely like to use the Cyberdata video intercom. Here we are 2 years later, and chance of this happening soon?

2019-02-13  We use RingCentral meetings to do Live Video Support for clients all the time.    This is already enabled for all users on our account and we have it loaded everywhere.

Anything new about video intercom compatibility yet?  RingCentral is still telling me they do not integrate with any existing technology that would offer this functionality.  Has anyone found a work around on their own?
