Hi,
We have 4x Polycom VVX 310 desk phones in our office. We would like the ability to add a contact to a company directory (either using the online portal or one of the desk phones) and then all of the desk phones being able to access the company directory without having to manually add the contact to each desk phone.

- Account type = UK
- A brief description of the business = Estate agent
- A high level description of the product or feature being requested = Ring Central through Polycome VVX 310
- A typical use case scenario explaining how your business would use the feature = Already provided
- Benefit of such feature = Wouldn't have to manually add a contact to each desk phone individually. Same applies if a contact was to change their number in the future
- Include any related case number if applicable = N/A

We would love to have this also at all of our retail stores. We have 13 phones at 100 +stores. What a great Idea!!

Agree 100% - I can't imagine this is not included now. We have six offices and about 30 users, most of whom need to call the same set of business contacts. We need a common company address book. Updating a contact should update that information for eveyone rather than requiring 30 users to make 30 updates.

Hi Jim, depending on the number of contacts, you could just setup speed dials that will be available to everyone on the system, Using virtual extensions. It is not perfect but may be better than the process you have in place today.
Do you think that would work?

Thx but we are talking about over 100 numbers so I do not think that's the solution.

At our Retail stores we had Ring Central add users without phones to our account for 100 stores. We use the 3 digit store number to dial the stores. This is how we got around the company address contacts. It seems to work great for us. I add a new user at no cost to us for each time we open a new store.

Ring Central added all these with an Xcel spreadsheet so it took only minutes to do. I just keep it updated. With 3 digit dialing you would have 1000 speed dials.

I am baffled that I have to manually enter company contacts on each phone. Please tell me this is not the case. I can't even export it so I can load it into the phone? I must not be explaining this right.
