SMS: How do I send a SMS Text Messages to an inbound caller on the Softphone/Desktop App?

California New York Express Moving Company. RingCentral is very important to us, we receive leads and would like to provide the best customer care possible.

When we receive a phone call that is a potential customer wanting to move (LEAD) can they get a text to tell them they will get a call from our sales team?


Or a text giving them the option whether or not they want us to call them back?

And if they do want a call back, to let them know we have received their message and we will follow up with them as soon as we can?

For example to text saying "Thank you for calling, we are sorry we missed your call. Our normal business hours are from 7am-5pm.  If you would like one of our representatives to call you to schedule a move text move. If you would like our customer care team to assist you with a move text assist. And one of our CNYX representatives will contact you as soon as we can."

You can send an SMS to the caller (see below images) via the Softphone Desktop App. This is for live calls only.

I tried that but it didnt send a SMS but a voice reply. Is there a configuration that I can change to make it a SMS?

Hi Myron, this post is almost 4 years old. Currently the SMS reply isn't supported and, instead, a voice response is given.
