TIF files received, but not supported. Files won't open with PhotoShop, Windows Photo Viewer, and Illustrator all report file that can't be opened. I received 7 identical faxes, all of which came through as TIF. Help appreciated.

From my experience, it likely means that these faxes got corrupted while being sent to RingCentral. By default, you should be receiving fax email notifications with the fax content attached as a PDF.

If you know the party sending the faxes, have them try again or try sending the faxes from a different method (ie. send from a fax machine as opposed to digital method, send from a different fax machine etc.). You can also have them try sending to other numbers on your account. If you consistently get these corrupted faxes from this person it is likely that there is some incompatibility in the way they are being sent.

Hi Wil,

Our Support Team could also "refresh" your settings on the back end. Sometimes that fixes the issues, other times it is due to what Luke is talking about.

I am experiencing the same thing with fax's coming in as tiff files and we are unable to open them, it is sporadic.

Our Fax Number is 657-235-2908.

We just signed up yesterday and need help as soon as possible.  All Work Stations are up to date with programs.

Thank you in advance.

Hey Ken, I would suggest contacting our Support Team so they can take a look :)

No.

We are simply forwarding the faxes to an email address that points to a Ticketing System here Internally.

We originally had a dedicated Fax Server here that allowed for smtp forwarding (to and email) and we never had issues with attachments coming in as a tiff file.

We really need a solution asap.

Thank you,

Ken
