1. We're an insurance broker that does business in Manitoba and Saskatchewan only. We're using Ring Central as an inbound marketing line where we can track calls and have the ability for multiple users to handle the calls in case of a vacation.

2. Feature Request: Restrict Toll Free to Certain Countries. Our main issue is that we're receiving spam calls from US numbers. We don't deal in the US so an easy fix for us would be to restrict the toll free to Canada only. Even if they were legit calls from the US or wrong numbers there's no point to it. Our current local provider (MTS) can provide these restrictions for us with toll free's through them.

3. Only allow calls coming through on the toll free on our website.

4. Less time spent on fake calls, less distractions, less cost (for real calls but wrong number)

5. I had a case but wasn't given the case number

Jared, I'm from Canada as well. What we did was block all US area codes, they hear a message that the number can't be reached from their calling area

Thanks Rob, I haven't really looked at the blocking feature at all yet. Can you just do a mass import?

Unfortunately no. I had to do area code by area code. I've been with RingCentral for about 4 years. It's been a great service and their features are handy

Wow that's quite the task, I guess that could also be a requested feature to be able to import blocked area codes.

HI Jared,

We can look at the status of the case for you if you need us to.  If you don't have the case number, we can find it by using the business name on the account, or the phone number etc. Or if you want to  you can follow the steps on this page. It shows how to log in and check the case status. Then if you want you can reply here with the case number. How to create and submit a case in the Customer Support Center

Thanks Mike, unfortunately I don't see an active case right now. Unless the CSR has not entered it yet. I talked to them on the phone.

Ah ok, if it was just recent, it may not be entered yet.  I do think Rob's suggestion above to block the area codes, is the best solution.  But we'll leave this post up as an "idea" request for our Product Team to review.

Definitely the best suggestion but its not an easy thing to accomplish. My main feature request would be an easy option to only allow calls from certain countries.

Jared,

Here's a listing of all US area codes, which might help you start to block them. Less than two full pages...would probably take less than 30 minutes to enter.
