Hello,

Before I purchase a RingCentral Office plan, is it possible to set up a traditional fax machine with its own number using a Cisco SPA122 ATA device? If so, how would I set up the ATA device and fax machine so it can send and receive faxes?

My planned configuration is like so:

1) Use a single designated phone number for company-wide phone calls using multiple Polycom VVX-501 VoIP phones with different extensions and a single Polycom VVX-501 VoIP phone using the main number for our receptionist.

2) Use another phone number for sending and receiving faxes using a traditional fax machine connected through a Cisco SPA122 ATA device.

[w/respect to your #2] I have several in place and working fine.  The trick is to NOT use the free main fax number for this device.  It MUST be an additional number ($4.99), b/c the fax # that comes with the service, you can't change number type from fax only to voice only.

It is also suggested to set your fax machine to 9600 baud - to be safe.  If you run into any issues, you can also change to the following settings in the ATA:
