Transferring a forwarded call back

We have a US account.  We have our toll free number and three designated numbers/extensions.  One of these three numbers/extensions is setup for our auto receptionist (103).  We wanted that particular extension (103) to answer all incoming calls from the the other two numbers/extensions (101 and 102) as well as our toll free number.  We were told to make that happen we needed to forward the extensions to 103.  However we need 103 to be able to transfer a call back to these extensions but is unable to hit the transfer button and enter in the extension because the calls are set up to be forwarded to 103.

If you are still with me then GREAT :)

We have only been able to make transfers happen by using the ## transfer method where you dial * then 1 and enter the phone number.  Its a hassle.

Any feedback on how we should configure our system to simplify this transfer process?  What we want is all of our incoming calls to go to one single extension and for them to have the ability to hit transfer and select an extension it goes to.

Hi Jennifer,

  Are direct calls being made to the 101 & 102 extensions?  Via regular direct-dial numbers? (e.g., 212-555-0101/2)?

  If so, I'd just make a custom call rule for the 101 & 102 extensions based on called number (212-255-0101/2) that sends over to 103.

  That way, transferring to the extension number (101) will not trigger the rule and will ring to the person at x101.
