Verizon text messages not fully visible.

I have text messages being forwarded via SMS to my Verizon phone.  When the messages come in, there are several lines of text announcing where the text came from, the extension, etc.  Then by the time it gets to the text message itself, there is only space for a word or two.  The rest of the message does not come through.  You then have to log in to the app itself to see the remainder of the message.  For example, I am texting this message to my RingCentral phone and will post the entire results of the text received below (there is no secondary text with the rest of the message):

You Have a New Text Message

From: (310) xxx-xxxx

To: Jeff's Line

Received: Friday, August 10, 2018 at 9:38 AM

Message: I have text messages being

Anyone know a work around or can this be fixed?

In your notifications settings did you select Verizon as the carrier?  You might also try the Verizon email to SMS gateway to see if that works.  The format is like 4155551212@vtext.com
