It appears the only greeting options are the RING CENTRAL DEFAULT or a CUSTOM greeting that we record. What I would really like is to have a PRIMARY custom greeting that remains 95% of the time but also have a SECONDARY custom greeting that can be changed for holiday or staff meetings, etc. I don't want to LOSE my primary recording each time I want a unique message and have to re-record it time after time. My old phone system actually let me record several different types of messages (each holiday, snow closures, staff meeting, etc) and all I had to do was check which one was active. Am I missing this function somewhere? Sure seems like it should be an option...

You can achieve this via Advanced rules.

I totally agree this feels like a missing feature compared to every other voicemail system.  Danno, is correct though that there is a way to handle this with advanced rules and that is what I do.  It works well enough, but does not allow you to dial in remotely via phone and choose greeting 2 or 3 etc. like other systems and the way many users are accustomed to.

What I do is have a rule called PTO for when I am out of the office.  It has a prerecorded greeting and then I can just toggle it on or off via the web or mobile interface.  I can also schedule it to play in advance when I know I will be out for a few days.  Similar to setting my out of office for email where the message is always there I just need to go toggle it on/off and set the date range if desired.

I concur w/Brando and will add, for holidays, I just pre-program them (in advance) so that they enact & de-enact on a schedule.

Bingo was his name-o, best way to attack it, use advanced rules and log in or to turn on or off at will or set the dates if you know them.
