When calls come into the App or SoftPhone, only the number displays. Is there a certain plan we should have purchased to get inbound caller ID to work?

Hi at this time that feature is offered in the premium and enterprise office plans.

Let us know if there are any other questions.

Thank you

I'll see how much it costs to upgrade out plan. Heck, I have no clue what plan we currently have!! LOL. Thanks.

Hi A+ - you may need to speak with your account manager to have this feature enabled. Let me know if you need assistance identifying your AM.

Hi Ben,

You suggest that we can have this feature enabled by contacting our account manager - can you clarify if this is possible?

Based on my research, it seems RingCentral not offer Caller ID with Name as part of its Standard service. This seems like a misguided marketing ploy to require customers to upgrade to a higher plan to get standard features - caller ID with Name is a basic feature and has been a standard feature on phones for 20+ years.

If there's a way for us to get this enabled on our Standard plan (5 phones), that would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Dan.

Hi Daniel, Ben is no longer on the Community, but, you are correct in that you have to be on a higher plan. This feature is available on the Enterprise edition.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled in bound caller id not available on RC for windows.

We are very disappointed to learn that the In Bound Caller ID feature from Softphone is not enabled for the new Ring Central for Windows. Our office has 6 different department extensions in addition to 8 individual employee extensions, the In Bound Caller ID made incoming call answering easier by knowing what general information the caller was needing (Leasing, Maintenance, Accounting, etc). This feature also made it easy to know that a call was for another employee but because I ring simultaneously I knew whether to make it a priority. I sincerely hope this oversight in programing is in the process of being remedied as it has created some miscommunication in our office due to not knowing where the caller is trying to reach.
