How can I set up the "invite with email" conference bridge option on the RC softphone to automatically default to Gmail instead of the Mail app. I've tried updating my Mac settings, Mail settings and don't see any options in RC to update this. My RC Meetings app is integrated to Gmail just fine, why isn't the softphone?

Hi Audrey Norwood

The RingCentral Desktop App sends the invitations through the default email client installed on the machine.  Since Gmail is a browser-based application instead of a desktop app, it can not send through Gmail.

The best solution for Gmail users is to install the Chrome extension.  Then, when you schedule a conference, just choose the "invite with Google Calendar" option.  The Google Calendar scheduling screen will appear and you'll see this option to "Add Guests" where you can send through Gmail.

For more details see: RingCentral for Google

A second option

A second option would be to actually configure the gmail account in Outlook, (or whatever your desktop email client is).
