Why does the call log only show the last few calls? I need our history to show at least 10 days.

Is there a way to expand the call log and deleted log? Ours is not sufficient now since it keeps a history of sent faxes. We often times need to check for a fax that we may have missed or find it it was a bad fax etc.

Hello,

In terms of the call log showing a longer date, you can adjust the date range on the top of the call log to what you would like, after you set the date, hit the show button, and the call log will display the date range set.




If however, on your extension or the system mailbox has purged their call log, then the date range will only show up from when they purged it, to today. If that is the case, give us a call in support, and we can adjust call log purge date, so that it displays the older calls as well again :)

In regards to adjusting the deleted log, we can not change how far back that shows. You could however setup Ring Central Archiver on whichever extensions are receiving faxes, allowing you to keep these faxes indefinitely, or as an admin you can setup archiver to archive the entire call log if all you are looking for it to say whether a fax had an error or not.  https://success.ringcentral.com/articles/RC_Knowledge_Article/8913

After you adjust the date do you click on the button labeled show?

If so, and it's still only displaying the last few days, then the purge button was clicked on either the system mailbox extension, or your extension. Give us a call in support, and we'd be more than happy to adjust the call log date for you :)

The call to support should fix it :)  I see a purge date of 09/06/2017 for your extension.

It is only on the 500 extension that we don't see the log. If we are deleting the calls from the call controller is that considered a purge? We can find the deleted files in that area.

I'm not sure what you mean by call controller, if you could explain what that is so I could better understand. 

I just checked extension 500, and it has a purge date of today. 

Due to this being a change I would need verification for, I can't change it for you here, but it looks like you are a Super Admin on the account, so if you call into support and say "I accidentally purged my call log, can you please adjust the date back a few months?" and they will be able to do this. I know you may not have clicked the purge button, I just know this phrasing will ensure the agent on the phone understands what you're talking about :)

We can get them back though :)
