Why doesn't DND sync with RingCentral's Do Not Disturb status?

Why doesn't the builtin button on my Yealink deskphone T48S for 'DND' synchronize with RingCentral's Do Not Disturb status?

Wouldn't it be ideal to control your call state from your softphone software OR DESKPHONE?

I don't know why this is, as it works the other way -- when you set DND from the soft phone or in Service Web, you will not receive calls even if your desk phone is not in DND. I'll ask product and see what I can find out, it may just be a physical phone limitation.

I confirmed with a Solutions Engineer that our SBC doesn't listen to the phone's DND signal.
