I receive at least 6 robocalls per day.  I would like to sign up for Nomorobo, but RingCentral seems to be one of the few major VOIP providers that is not supported.  Why is that?  This is a huge nuisance for a lot of customers.

Phil,

There are quite a few VoIP providers that are not supported regarding NOMOROBO. Off the top of my head:
8X8
Grasshopper
Nextiva
VirtualPBX
CloudPhone
Phone.com
Jive
OnSIP
CenturyLink

Some of these providers are larger providers...some are smaller providers. Suffice it to say that everyone of the providers that is NOT on the "Supported VoIP Carriers" listing on the NOMOROBO web site are not supported (and there aren't that many shown on their listing, and most of the ones that are listed are home based/consumer providers).

OK.  Maybe I should phrased that differently.  So what is RingCentral's option to filter out robocalls?

I can't tell you because I don't know. I am not a RIngCentral employee. I am a RingCentral Partner/Authorized Dealer and a customer. This topic has floated around the forums long before you brought up a new topic on it. There has been no official word one way or another on it. It is simply a feature request, but not every feature request makes it into the final products and if they do some take many years before they do.

If you search for NOMOROBO here in the forums you'll find at least three other topics on it, some of them with several pages of comments. Here is one...

As with other requests for service, this is not as important to RingCentral as it is to it's customers.

It should be important to Ringcentral as it's the primary reason I never recommend RC to anyone else and it's the reason I'm thinking of switching providers.   The majority of my business calls are spam.  At home, Verizon Fios includes Nomorobo in their service and it kills almost all spam calls.
