We are a US engineering company with multiple offices, about 30 ring central lines, and employees that work remotely, from the job site and home.  Some of our remote employees would like to use their Yealink T46S desk phone at home over their WIFI network because they don't have an ethernet connection in the room where they work.  The Yealink T46S phone has the ability to use a USB WIFI dongle to allow it to connect to the internet over a WIFI connection, but this feature is currently disabled by the RingCentral firmware.  Please update the Firmware for this phone to enable this feature.

When purchasing these deskphones through ring central this was a requirement for our off-site Employees. We have used wired Ethernet in office, but now are ready to roll out phones to Remote offices. These sites do not permit Ethernet, only Wi-Fi, as we are unable to alter the building's infrastructure.

What is the OFFICIAL RC policy if I have written documentation from RC sales rep endorsing this solution...?? IT IS THE REASON we chose your solution, and yealink phones... PLEASE HELP!

As a small organization we have no ability That I know of to interact with developers, Not sure where to go from here other than outside of RC for a solution...

Hi Strategic IT,

We looped in your Account Manager to help go over RC policy and look into your situation further. You should be hearing from them soon!
