Why did screensharing stop working for web app on Chromebox Chrome?

A few days ago the screensharing function in the Ringcentral Web App stopped working. It gives you the option to share the desktop or application and when either is chosen, it accepts the choice and seems to behave normally but the top-of-the-window-controls don't appear AND noone on the meeting can see anything. This worked perfectly last week.
