I followed the complete steps on this -- https://developers.ringcentral.com/guide/voice/quick-start#javascript

but end up getting a

Error: Unauthorized for this grant type

You need to put more details here. What is application type you created in developer portal ( https://developer.ringcentral.com ) any one of below :

Browser-Based (web browser)

Server-Web ( web server)

Desktop

etc... Check this authentication type used in different type of app: https://developers.ringcentral.com/guide/authentication
