How do you ensure you are only dialing valid phone numbers?

In our lead creation process, we are creating leads where some of them have invalid phone numbers. Does anyone have direction as far as tools/API's/ways they've been able to leverage technology to ensure the numbers are valid so that, if not, they do not make their way to the dialer?

A quick web search shows this number verification service that is accessible via their API: https://numverify.com/documentation - Number Validation you can try using this.
