What version of RingCentral Embeddable do I use for WebSocket support?

Hello,

we are using the ringcentral embeddable project V1.8.7 (https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-embeddable) and customizing for our needs. We recently got the communication from Ring central that PubNub push notificaitons will be discontinued. Please let me know the plans to handle the same in ringcentral-embeddable project so that we can migrate to new version.

Yes. Please upgrade to the latest build of RingCentral Embeddable. Versions 1.9 and greater have support for both PubNub and Websockets. It will first try to use WebSockets, and if it is unable to create a subscription (typically because of a missing app scope), then it will failover to PubNub.

Using the RingCentral Phone for Desktop, you can dial or receive test calls, send and receive test SMS or Fax messages in your sandbox environment.
